The Law Offices of McCready, Garcia & Leet, P.C. was founded in 1999 and rapidly became one of the Chicagoland areas premier plaintiff’s personal injury and Workers’ Compensation trial firms. Michael P. McCready

Michael McCready - Lawyer Chicago Illinois - Personal InjuryMichael P. McCready received his undergraduate degree cum laudefrom the University of Richmond in three years and continued at the University of Richmond obtaining his law degree in 1992. Following graduation, he served as a law clerk for a federal judge in Virginia. He came to Chicago the next year and began working at a law firm handling personal injury cases. After four years, he rose to partner.
In 1999, he left the partnership to form his own firm, The Law Offices of Michael P. McCready & Associates.

Since venturing out on his own, the firm has grown rapidly. Mr. McCready is licensed to practice in Illinois, Indiana and Virginia as well as the federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of various professional organizations dedicated to protecting the rights of individuals. He has also been inducted into the Million Dollar Advocacy Forum whose membership is limited to trial lawyers who have obtained million dollar results for their clients.

Rogelio Garcia

Rogelio Garcia received his law degree from Northern Illinois University in 1995. He initially worked for a personal injury firm in Chicago Heights, Illinois before joining the Cook County Public Defender in 1996. As a public defender he worked in the traffic division, juvenile division and then finally as a felony trial attorney at the Cook County Criminal Court Building. He has tried over 200 criminal bench trials and 18 felony jury trials including murder, sex assault and burglary. Mr. Garcia is a member of the Capital Litigation Trial Bar. He joined the Law Offices of Michael McCready and Associates in 2004 and became partner in 2009. Mr. Garcia represents clients in a wide variety of personal injury and Workers’ Compensation.

Stephanie N. Leet

Stephanie N. Leet joined The Law Offices of Michael P. McCready & Associates in June 2003 as a law clerk while attending DePaul University Law School. During this time, Stephanie also clerked for the Assistant States Attorney office, where she tried several criminal bench trials. After graduating from DePaul with cum laude honors and passing the Illinois Bar Exam in 2004, Stephanie remained working with the McCready firm as an associate and became partner in 2009. Stephanie also passed the Indiana Bar Exam and is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association.

Edwin Reyes

Edwin Reyes received his undergraduate degree from Loyola University in Chicago and his law degree from Northeastern University in Boston. He then worked for the City of Chicago’s Law Department in the Traffic Division for a year, as a prosecutor where he tried bench trials on a daily basis. Edwin then transferred to the Workers’ Compensation Department, where he defended the City of Chicago in workers’ compensation claims filed by city workers. For the past fourteen years Edwin has been in private practice representing injured workers against their employers before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, (IWCC). He has conducted countless trials before the IWCC both as Respondent and Petitioner. In addition to workers’ compensation cases, Edwin hasalso handled personal injury cases. Mr. Reyes is fluent in spanish.

Edwin is a Hearing Officer for the Chicago Board of Elections. He has received many awards for his community service involvement, from ASPIRA, the Puerto Rican Bar Association, the Latin Bar Association (now known as the Hispanic Lawyers of Illinois) and; most recently the Vanguard Award from the Chicago Bar Association. Edwin is a member of the Puerto Rican Bar Association, the Hispanic Lawyers of Illinois, The Hispanic National Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Association, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and the Legislative Latino Caucus Foundation of Illinois.

Roger Hutchison

Roger S. Hutchison received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois, and obtained his law degree in 1992 from Chicago-Kent Law School. He has represented more than 2,000 Social Security disability claimants from Chicago, across the State of Illinois, and around the country. He has also litigated disability claims against private insurers in Federal Court. He is a past Chair of the Chicago Bar Association’s Social Security Law Committee, and in that role he coordinated meetings among lawyers who represent Social Security disability claimants, Administrative Law Judges, Social Security Administration Hearings Office Coordinators, staff from Social Security Administration District Offices, and medical and vocational experts who testify at Social Security disability hearings. He is a past officer and board member of the South Suburban Bar Association. He also regularly speaks to Social Security disability attorneys at seminars. Although he handles Social Security Disability Claims at every level, he encourages his involvement at the application level, so that the claim is properly structured from the onset. His motto is Working Hard for Those Who Have Worked Hard, and he prides himself on his direct communication with clients. His initial consultation is free of any charge or obligation. He handles Social Security Disability Claims on a contingency basis, so that clients will not be charged an attorney’s fee unless they are awarded benefits.
